Children and Families
Children and Families Sunday Program
We are delighted to offer this program!
This is a time for families to participate in mindfulness activities and the Shambhlala teachings together in a safe, fun and caring environment for children, or to attend the Sunday Morning Sit and Open House while your children participate in activities in the Community Room. Leslie Gossett, Director of Family and Children’s Programming for Northern County Shambhala, will be leading this program. She is magical with children! Volunteers are needed and welcomed to join in these playful activities.
This will occur in conjuction with the Sunday Morning Sit. The Sunday Morning Sit includes meditation followed by a group discussion. Meditation instruction is available each Sunday and new visitors are welcome.
- Generally twice per month during the school year. Please check our Monthly Calendar to confirm dates
- Families with children of all ages are welcome.
- Caregivers with children who are 3 years of age and older are welcome to participate in the Sunday Morning Sit while their child attends activities. An adult who is responsible for each child must be present in the Center during the Sunday programming.
- Caregivers with children 2 years and younger should plan to stay with their child throughout the morning. All caregivers are welcome to attend with their child; our goal is to have activities that are fun and engaging for the whole family.
