Join the vajrayana sangha for a week of study, practice and deep personal reflection on our indestructible nature, as we revisit Vajra Assemblies conducted by the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

A week of practice with containers provided for ngondro, vajrayogini, chakrasamvara, Werma and Scorpian Seal All levels. An independent focus is available for each practice, and the group will join daily to open, for the Vajrayana talk and for closing chants.

Lunch will be eaten together. We are evoking a Vajra community to discover the Vajra nature of reality and our world. Please come and practice with us if you are authorized to practice Vajrayana.

4:00 Tea time which can transition back to afternoon practice session

Acharya Melissa Moore is a meditation teacher and co- founder of The Karuna Training in Europe in 1996: Karuna is a 3-year professional training in Contemplative Psychology. The Karuna Training program has spread throughout Europe and is currently held in Germany, Netherlands, France, Austria, Spain and Poland. In addition Melissa is empowered as an Acharya (Senior Teacher and Preceptor) in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition and a long time student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche since 1979. Melissa is currently a Senior Executive of Family Service Agency (FSA) of San Francisco and the founding Director of The Felton Institute since 2005. The Felton Institute is a division of FSA that is dedicated to research and training in best practices.

$450 is the base or "sustainable" rate. Those who can are warmly invited to pay our patron rate of $600 to help us fund scholarships for those who cannot pay the full price.

The San Francisco Shambhala Center is funded solely by your membership and program donations. Thank you for your generosity as you consider what you can pay for each program at our Center. We strive to price our programs in a way that accurately reflects the financial need of our Center and the cost to us of producing the program.

We are committed to offering our programs to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. If you are unable to meet any of our listed pricing tiers please contact us to discuss your current needs. In addition to offering scholarship pricing for those in need, we also offer the option of paying for some programs in installments.

What is the Patron Price?
The other aspect of our Generosity Policy is our Patron Price. Those who are able to offer more than the regular program price can select the Patron Price option.  By selecting this option, your generosity is helping to cover the costs of those who may not be able to pay the full price of the program.
